Who We Are
In 1986 we began to gather with a group of professionals with
vastly different career paths from cultures around the world
to study the most effective psychological, emotional, cognitive
and behavioral models known to humans and to assimilate them
with scientific principles and physics concepts that had previously
been viewed separately.
The objective was to evaluate organizational
and team dynamics through this new wholistic perspective with
the goal of uncovering the common attributes of successful
groups. The questions we asked ourselves and each other were
designed to make us look beyond the traditional models of
evaluating success solely by production capacity and bottom
line to the human side of business and to discover what motivated
people to excel and be successful even when the odds were
stacked against them.
We asked, what made one group of people function
better than others? What was the glue that held people together
in times of conflict and change? What were the core principles
that guided the most successful leaders and teams. What was
it that people needed to truly feel engaged and satisfied
with the the work they did every day? What we discovered was
simultaneously being proven by leading researchers around
the planet that, our perception of the world, all of
our actions and our decision making processes are filtered
through an "emotional" clearing centre in our brain.
The way we feel about ourselves, others, and our workplaces,
are the primary driving forces behind our behaviours and the
results we get. Our beliefs about who we are, how we fit in,
and what value we offer to the team or group of which we are
a member are also a part of this emotional
framework.
Through research and the experiences of our
clients we knew the process and methodology of creating emotionally
intelligent workplaces was very doable for every organization.
We then tackled the question of why organizations in general
were not proactively focussed on positively influencing the
impact that EQ had on their success. The discovery we made
was enlightening many people understood the theory
behind EQ, but there simply wasnt a model for practical
application to show business how to create an EQ SMART
workplace. It was then that we knew we had something truly
valuable to offer.

the power of EQ. Over the past 15 years, we have worked with
hundreds of organizations in the financial, real estate, health
care, marketing, retail, and service sectors to develop EQ
